What Has DeVon Prioleau Been Up To?

Dear Esteemed Colleagues & Friends,

It’s hard to believe its been close to a year since my last blog post. Since then, I’ve purchased my first home, living through a full gut renovation, changed employers, and became the newest Board Member of a leading arts organization. The past year has truly been life changing to say the least!

Just this past December, I ended my journey with Turner & Townsend Ferzan Robbins. When I started with the firm almost 6 years ago, I was unsure as to what specific experiences and challenges I would face, but it was a great ride over the years and I have learned some invaluable lessons. I am thankful for Turner & Townsend Ferzan Robbins’ integral role in my success and the opportunity to have worked alongside amazing peers, partners and clients.

Fast forward to present time, I am well engrained with FERZAN COMPANY LLC and happy to be a part of what I believe will be very impactful change within our industry (Project Managers vs. Project Leaders). Our mantra is “Management Reflects the Past. Leadership Looks to the Future.” Although, only a newly formed organization, under the tutelage of Managing Principal, Peter Ferzan (who I respect greatly) we’re off exploring new and innovative approaches to Program and Project Leadership Services inclusive of: Strategy & Development; Technical Process Delivery; and Oversight, Monitoring & Reporting. I’m truly excited for how rapidly we are gaining momentum with private and public investors, developers, owners, tenants and users as clients.

Mostly, I’m feeling confident with my new role as a Director and leader of the business. As such, I am responsible for the businesses growth. To that end, I’m engaging with professionals I deem in high regard to remind them of these changes and to investigate opportunities which we may be able to collaborate. Ultimately, I’d like you to consider us a potential resource for the planning, design, construction and management of you and your clients real estate assets, etc.

Aside from my new professional endeavors, I have continued my commitment for diversity within the commercial real estate industry. I was recently inducted as the newest Board Member of the Arts & Business Council of New York and am continuing another successful year of programming for the Council of Urban Real Estate (C.U.R.E.). My latest blog (PDG Profile 2.0) highlights some of these recent accomplishments and features three new thought leadership articles on issues close to home. I’ve chosen to write on the increased wave of activity in the Bronx, the impact modular construction can have on affordable housing and the importance of mentorship for men of color.

I would love to hear your thoughts on these articles, so feel free to reply to my email (devon@prioleaudevgroup.com) or call me at (212.561.6707). For those who haven’t seen my first post, check it out here www.pdgprofile.com.

I hope this message finds you well and encouraged to find out more about what I am doing. As we enter summertime hours, it would be great to get together for lunch and/or drinks and catch-up on what you’ve been up to in 2018. Let me know if you have some available times to do so and we’ll calendar a date.

I look forward to seeing you.
